DWI Case Studies
Choosing the right attorney to handle your DWI case is the key to your success. I've listed the results of recent DWI trials as an example of the results I have achieved for clients. These results were achieved through hard work, not only from myself, but from jurors who carefully examined the evidence and held the State to it's burden of proof.

I have had many cases dismissed, but I'm most proud of Not Guilty verdicts, because those are only achieved by trial lawyers. Although no attorney can guarantee a particular result, I've posted a few of our recent success stories.

State vs. Sledge
DWI
Client hit a parked car in a residential neighborhood at 2:30 a.m. totaling the parked vehicle. Wine was spilled throughout the vehicle and a glass with some wine in it was found in the driver's area. The State filed an "open container paragraph" in their charging instrument which would have meant a mandatory 6 day jail term if the client was convicted. The State offered DIVERT, which the client turned down. Neighbors testified that the client tried to flee the scene before being stopped. They testified that the client smelled like alcohol, was belligerent, and offered to pay if the neighbors didn't call the police. The first officer to arrive called in a DWI task force officer, who administered field sobriety tests. The Jury found her not guilty in approximately fifteen minutes. The client's driving privileges were automatically re-instated. We also filed for an expunction to wipe this incident from the client's criminal record.
